Lean On matches pre-med students to current med student advisors who help them get into med school. The company's biggest advantage is a "Find Your Match" algorithm, powering the student-advisor match success.
With the quality and commitment in its services, it was clear the missing link a cohesive brand strategy and connective user experience.
Starting inside out with user research and one-on-one interviews, the project asked for three main focuses:
Working as a team with the founders, we landed on a brand personality that feels friendly, fresh, and approachable. Bold and bright colors, in addition to a clean typeface logo, were a part of the strategy to differentiate from competitors and emphasize its modern take on admissions. The HTML brackets capping the tagline are a nod to the Find Your Match pairing algorithm.
As a next step in the design process, I'm working with Lean On to iterate the user interface and test accordingly. We're also adding a UX Writer and another designer on board to help tighten up details.
